lump on my lower lip - Skin Problems Message Board

Hi
I am 33 years old male. About a month ago I noticed a soft blister type bump inside of my lower lip. I think I had noticed something like that before also, but they went away very fast (about a week or so). But this time, it is larger (about ¼ inch) and seems like it has no plan of going away. I am getting worried since I have no idea what it is and what causes it. The color is like light purple (like a bruise). Any advice would be appreciated.

It could be a chanchre sore. I get them inside my cheeks, and if they get too irritated they can get very big and hard. There are medications that you can get at drug stores to treat them, and if that doesnt work, I'm sure you can get a prescription for a stronger medication from your doctor.
