Exclamation What is the best equipment to use for sleep Apnea?

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea besides I do snore. I was told by my doctor to use a cpac(the one with the built in humidifier). I have been using it for 2 wks now, the snoring stopped but I am still waking up just as tired (sometimes even more so) and sleepy as i was before. I am also finding I get up dizzy and with an aweful headache.

Is there anything out on the market that is less evasive that works?

I checked out this site http://www.snoringstopper.com/
but I am not sure if I should try it and throw out $59.99. Besides it comes in 3 sizes and I have not a clue which one would be the best.

Has anyone tried this? or can suggest something else?

thanks
robin

hi robin, i was diagnosed with sleep apnea 3 yrs ago and i got a bipap machine, it took me a good month if not more before i got any results from using the machine, you need to give it some time, your body has been with out a good nights sleep for a while and will need time to adjust, as far as the headaches and other symptoms id give it some time and see if they go away, if not call your doctor and see what he /she says, but your body will need time to adjust, unfortunately we cant ever get back those hours of sleep we lost, good luck

robin, a cpap stands for constant positive air pressure, which means the air presure is always the same whether your breathing in or out, bi pap is where the level of pressure is higher when you breathe in and lower when ut breathe out, i just happened to like it better, it was easier for me to get used to it however im gong next friday for another sleep study because the machine isnt helping me anymore ive lost about 60 pounds and im waking up every hour whether i use it or not

Greetings my friend, welcome to the club. I too have sleep problems. Two weeks is too short a time to judge the results. I had bad results at first then it finally showed good results. Tell your DR what is happening. Are you covered with insurance. If so talk to a specialist. There are adjustments that can be mase to your machine Larry
