Does anyone actually look FORWARD to sleep?

hi,
i virtually get 8 hours of sleep a night, and no more. but, i love to keep busy all day, like study, play with my 19 month old, read, exercise VIGOROULSY, JUST, so i can look forward to a great night sleep. i found it to be in my subconscious why i purposely make myself tired. another aspect is i used to suffer from major insomnia when i was younger and hated the fact that i would be tossing and turning all night. it's wierd but in conclusion, i love to sleep! i look forward to getting under the covers at night and listening to talk radio, with that feeling of exhaution! literally!! am i crazy, i'm not depressed, only sometimes which is normal. mostly, i'm at a constant state of mind, not too happy or sad. does anyone else feel like this or am i insane?

Re: Does anyone actually look FORWARD to sleep?

Well considering the title of this forum I doubt you'll find many people who look forward to sleep, but I do.

It has been something that I haven't always had. I used to have nightmares where I couldn't breathe and I couldn't wake myself up. I'd try to breathe loudly so my bedmate would realize something was wrong and wake me. I started taking speed so that I wouldn't have to sleep and when I did sleep I would sleep sitting up so that I wouldn't be as deeply under.

I used to have a few other problems sleeping but the point is that after dealing with not sleeping for 5 years, during the past 3 years of not having any trouble... sleeping has become my hobby.

Now that I know how great sleep can be I can't help but worry that it will somehow come to an end.

Re: Does anyone actually look FORWARD to sleep?

I do! I do! I look forward to sleep! If I haven't slept well the night before, I spend the whole day just waiting for bedtime.

My favorite time of day is getting in bed with a good book. And then, when I feel the drowsies taking over and know that I'll be able to go right to sleep when I turn the light off = PURE BLISS! Unfortunately, it doesn't happen that way regularly...

Re: Does anyone actually look FORWARD to sleep?

Oh, I don't sleep anywhere near as much as I would like. I work full time and am taking 3 classes this semester. I'm also juggling a relationship. If I get 7 hours of sleep a night then thats a real good night. Weekends I have to be pried out of bed.
