I'm SO Tired!!!! - Sleep Disorders Message Board

I can't sleep. Last night I was up till past 3 in the morning. Then I was up at 7 with the baby. My husband stayed home so that I could rest all day. Well do you think I could sleep for ten mins? NO. I tried. I can't sleep. I can't live like this. Could it be because I have a cold? I need sleep. I have to go to work tonight. I can't miss. I just started this job. I don't wanna look bad by calling in sick so soon. I don't know what to do. My dr. will be in tomorrow. So I hope I can get into see her. But please any advice on how to get myslef to sleep would be really nice. I tried, tea, turned the tv on, music. light on, light off. This that and everything I could think of. The thing is I'm hypertyroid. So it can cause sleep problems. But I'm not so sure it is this. Maybe the cold. I feel like I can't breathe,,,even thou I can. Anyway, thanks for listening to me blab,,,Bye 4 Now...

you obviously need to get yopur thyroid problems sorted out
warm milk helps some
some valium or similar will help you get off to sleep, a comfortable matress helps, of course

You sound anxious and a bit panicky. Maybe that's what's causing the insomnia.
