guess

i just wanted to know if there was any cure for sleep paralysis and what exctly causes it. Someone very superstitous told me that it is another spirit holding your body down when you sleep to try and drive your spirit away so that it can posess your body. I sometimes have it and my brother has them more than me. today he dreamed that he was talking to me and telling me to wake him up but i was doing something else so i didnt end up waking him up. As for me, i dont have dreams....i just open my eyes and try to move, i even try to speak but i cant, so i try to make a noise so someone can hear me. How can someone prevent having sleep paralysis? and what causes it?
