Hypnogogic hallucinations and sleep paralysis? - Sleep Disorders Message Board

Can someone who has this explain what they see in their hypnogogic hallucinations? I think I may have sleep paralysis, as my symptoms match, i.e., floating or elevating, not being able to move just before falling alseep, but I also see these vivid images of geometric shapes during this time period.

Well I dont see geometric shapes but sometimes when falling asleep I see many faces flashing before me. They are competely foreign to me, not anyone I know. They pass rapidly past, as if they were on skates or something. Some are weird and disfigured, but most are normal. I have no idea who they are. Hope this helps some.

Hey check out the thread on sleep paralysis just before this- we are all describbing the same thing!!!
