At night, i sometimes get these "crazy" feelings in the pamls of my hands and the arhes of my feet. they drive me absoulutly nuts! i have spells were sometimes this will go on for many nights in a couple of weeks, and then i wont have it agian for a few months. ive talked with the doctor about it, menitoned were carpel tunnel, and anxiety, but the meds he put me on for those havent stopped it. ive also tried taking xanax, ambien, and benydrayl to combat these spells, all with 0 luck. its 5:24am as i write this, and still cant go to sleep. if anyone has any idea what these could be please let me know so i can mention it to my doctor! i dont know how to decrsibe the feelings any other way but "crazy," i have to break into the violent movements to get it to stop, but then it only goes away a short period, and i have to get out bed to make it stop! please help. i need to know what this could be!

It sounds like you have Restless Legs Syndrome. Despite it's name, it can also affect the upper extremities. I would suggest you get to a sleep doctor and get a study done. There are meds that work wonders for this problem.

I was diagnosed in 2000, after 14 approx, years of this disorder. It was awful! as you know. I am now on Mirapex and other than having to have it increased over time, I have no side effects from it at all and it works! Now, having said that, my arms and legs still jump or feel funny sometimes a little, but NOTHING like they used to do. It is amazing how much better they are.

As an aside, don't stop taking it abruptly. I ran out one night by accident and ended up so jumpy that I was awake all night. I ended up reupholstering my husband's recliner in one night just to have something to do!
