lol HLP WOULD BE APPRECIATED:D

hello. for the last 4 days, i have stayed up until about 9AM. i cant help it. if i try to sleep, i just lay there for three hours so i hsave to do something because i cant just sit in bed al morning anyway. ive been up now for about 27 ours, and i still cant sleep, and theres work tomorrow! does anyone have any advice except get a melatonin? Also, since ive been up soo long, i saw a purply fly with 20 blue legs.... THATS NOT NORMAL! lol.

This works for EVERY TIME -

When you go to bed and are ready to give sleeping a try, close your eyes and count your breathing inhale then exhale = 1

Count 20 breaths. I have NEVER made it to 20!

Here is the catch:

If you lose count, you have to start over.


You will start to notice and STOP the things that are keeping you awake such as:

Thinking about things making your mind race.
Your eyes are darting around as you mind races.

Could it be that Simple!? Thats what i thought then tried it and it works.

thanks for the advice, im going to go try it:P sominex didnt work for me... it just made my body numb....

Hey, surviva, I like your sense of humor!

IMHO, IF you are getting really stressed, I would go to your doc asap and ask for something that will knock you out before insomnia takes its toll. I waited too long, and my bout of insomnia led to serious depression/anxiety that I am still dealing with 18 months later. I say IF, because if you aren't freaking out, your body will probably eventually rereulate its sleep cycle. Unfortunately, I'm given to major freak-outs!

And good news! There is a brand new sleep med, lunesta {just approved so may not be available yet in drugstores} that is supposed to keep you asleep longer than ambian without any dependence or tolerance issues! I'm looking forward to trying it if I can get my doctor to prescribe it. If it isn't available yet, ambian is a good alternative, much less addicting than benzos, though you may have to divide up the 10 mg dose, taking the other half if you wake up too soon.
