I go through this a couple times during the year - mainly due to stress and a heavy work load. I tried pills, hot milk, walks...yada..yada..yada...
2 things I have found that work extremely well
1. Get a bunch of DVD's of movies that will make you laugh your can off - I have found that after about an hour of hysterical laughing, I can't stay awake for 5 minutes...
2. Hire a masseuse...I went to one when I would got insomnia, and let me tell you - works great! But, you need to be in bed no more than 30 after they are done - heck - I could hang in there that long...
