I'm new to this board. I wanted to find out if anyone has similar sleep problems, and if they have any suggestions!
As of 2004, I no longer take any Prescription meds to sleep an stopped seeing my Psychiatrist (felt I resolved any issues). I have been popping a Tylenol or two before I go to bed. Sometimes, a friend gives me 1/2 Xanax if I notice an uptick in any anxiety.
Lately, none of this works! For the past week or so, I fall asleep immediately but wake up EXACTLY 5 1/2 hours later, as if I have an internal alarm clock that wakes me up. I try to fall asleep again but simply can't
I've tried different things: I change positions, use the toilet, count sheep, get up and stretch, read something boring. I'm dead tired during the day and cranky as hell, but it doesn't make me sleep any better the next night. It goes on an on and on.
Any suggestions? I've cut 1/2 the Caffeine out of my diet, cut my fluid intake at night, tried eating different foods, etc. Nothing.
Any suggestions
