| Too Much Sleep
Hi.
I'm 18 and have just started Universtiy. When I was younger (up until around 2 years ago) I was always an early to rise sort of person. Everyday I was up for school no problem after having 9 hours sleep.
Since then however, I've been having massive sleeping problems. I fall asleep fine and as far as I'm aware I dont wake up in the night, or not often anyway. The thing is that I ALWAYS feel tired. Just using today as one example - I went to bed last night at around midnight and pretty much fell straight asleep. Didn't wake up today untill 4.30 this afternoon and by around 7 I was ready to go back to bed!!! I've had to FORCE myself to stay awake until now because I dont want to get to the stage where I cant sleep because I've overslept if you know what I mean.
Generally I tend to get 9-10 hours sleep per night but I seem to need at least a two hour nap everyday and I'm still exhausted after this. Dont have much energy any of the time, although I do TRY to exersize when I can. I'm struggling to be up for my lectures each day at the moment and was wondering if any of you have any ideas. I do have other health issues - diabetes and depression but I dont think this is related to either of these.
Havent been to the doctors because I've only just moved up to Uni and my registration hasnt gone through yet. Also because I dont want to sound like a nuisance and be told there's absolutely nothing wrong with me!!
