| Re: Extremely Vivid Dreams
Are you taking beta blockers? Reason I ask is because beta blockers can cause very vivid dreams and/or nightmares in some people. My dreams are much more vivid since I started taking them. I also have nightmares like what you describe, where I feel pain, smell things, taste things, etc. Did you used to be able to wake yourself up from nightmares? Luckily, I am very good at doing that, most of the time. You can "train" yourself to realize you are dreaming, and wake yourself up if it becomes too scary. This is called "lucid dreaming," and you can certainly learn to have some level of control over your dreams and their outcome. I'm still working at it, with some success. I find it fascinating, but I abhor the nightmares.
