| Body Jolts
I've had this weird sensation when I fall asleep on and off for years. It's JUST as I'm falling aslseep, my body will jolt almost as if it is an electrical surge all the way through it, I even feel tingly for a split second as it jolts me awake. I've tried to do research, but don't come up with much answers. I've seen some forums talk about similar feelings it in relation to menopause, but i'm 36, I'm hoping that's not the case yet! Or I've read some that related it to a few various neurological disorders. But last year I had a sleep study, and some EEG tests done. The sleep study showed "slight apnea" which I'm sure is accurate because I have heard myself snore sometimes, but I KNOW that's not the same as this problem. The EEG was completey normal, no seizure activity, as he put it. I even read one thing that talked about various vitamin or mineral deficiencies, and magnisium being good for nerve issues.
I'm not sure what to do about it now. It happened a lot last night, and hasn't happened for awhile. I haven't been stressed recently, no more than usual at least. The only thing I can think of is that I had SOME soda at about an hour or two before bed. Could this be a caffeine thing?
