Weeks ago I was having anxiety attacks every day (first day July 4) and it lasted up until 4 weeks ago or so. Well during that time I had trouble falling asleep but not that I haven't been having the anxiety attacks I can't stay alseep.
I have no trouble falling asleep but it seems like a few hours (I don't look at the clock so it doesn't keep me awake) into sleep I have a spurt where I wake up 4 or 5 times in a very short amount of time. I have no trouble falling back asleep after these but it gets furstrating waking up so often during sleep. I also think it causes me to feel sleepy during the day although I am sure being bored all day doesn't help either.
I realize that as you get older you wake up more during the night but I am still only a teen. Do you think these awakenings could be stress related or something else? Any opinions would be appreciated
Hi there! What was going on right before you started having anxiety attacks? Stress can certainly cause sleep problems. Are you on any medication? Are you drinking a lot of caffene (sodas and what not)?
We'll get to the bottom of this! I'll do my best to help you out.
