| is it insomnia or insomnia?
as far back as i can remember i've always had trouble sleeping, and waking up. i've always felt more alert and responsive at night than during the day. however, i am not unable to fuction but at times i do have a great amount of difficulty. mostly drousiness, and at times an occassional lapse in memory. but to me the most unusual aspect of my sleeplesness is even if i haven't slept in aday or several days, i don't feel tired or appear to be tired. but if i slow down at home or at work i feel the need and the urge to take either a nap or go to sleep mostly during day hours. but i think the scariest thing of all this is how long i typically go without sleep. which is any where from one or two nights, too the longest of two and a half weeks with at least five hours of sleep total. and as strange and impossible as it sounds my memory, motor skills, creativity, and rational thought all seem to be little affected or more often then not at all.
