Waking up from vibrations in my body. Feels like an earthquake.

Let me first start out by saying I've never been very good at sleeping. I have friends and family that can just close their eyes and be out like a light. I generally have to be really worn out before i sleep.

Last night i was in bed asleep when i suddenly woke up cause my body was vibrating. It felt like an earthquake but only in my body. I remained in my bed and tossed over. A few seconds after i opened my eyes and seen some sort of transparent entity about 2 feet from my face. It startled the hell out of me and i jumped up and swung my hands at it. I blind over and over and it was gone. Now by this time my body was still vibrating only now my heart was pumping like crazy. This feeling of vibrations through my body has happened about 5 times in the past year. This is the second time i've seen some kind of transparent entity in my face when i open my eyes. I figured i was in a semi conscious state and the bronze colored transparent entity i seen was my imagination but can anyone explain the feeling of vibrations though my body. It usually stops about 30 minutes after I notice it. It's not unpleasant, just really strange.

Re: Waking up from vibrations in my body. Feels like an earthquake.

I would think it is something close or similar to the falling waking sensation. Where you are asleep or about to and your whole body jerks and enters these little spasms.. This can be the sign of a sleep disorder and it may just be related to your sleep state at that time.

THe fact you are discribing insomnia and the need to be plum tuckered out to sleep leads me to believe you may have an underlying sleep disorder. With out a more thorough discription of your sleep routine and experiences as well as dailly routine and tiredness it is had to tell what is going on.

I do not think you are nuts, but there isn't really enough here to make hypotheses on.

I would get on a list to see a sleep specialist near you. You do have some flags that indicate it may be a sleep disorder.

Sincerely,
MG
