Trouble falling asleep reguraly

I am having a hard time getting into a good sleep routine. It seems as though I have trouble falling to sleep consistently. Like my body is tired(my eyes water i'm so tired) but i just have trouble getting to sleep. I have eliminated all caffiene. I have heard NiQuil will help with this problem but i am worried about dependency isssues of using the stuff reguraly. Any advice?

The sticky note or very first thread should be very helpful to you. I too have this problem. I don't think it would be so difficult for me if I didn't have small children that absolutely hate sleep. Have you tried chamomile tea? It tends to settle me down after a long day so that I can fall asleep. Sometimes a warm bath and a cup of chamomile tea helps. Also you can try valerian root tablets or melatonin that's usually sold in the vitamin row of most stores. The melatonin, valerian root and chamomile are all natural remedies for sleep problems. I hope this helps!

The sleep hygiene post is everything that the sleep MDs recommend with a few natural solutions that have helped others. However if proper sleep hygiene doesn't seem to help you should seriosly consider going to a sleep specialist and getting a physical consultation. There are over 80 sleep disorders out there and most are cureable. Hopefully good sleep hygiene will help.. otherwise you need to consult a sleep specialist.
