Last week, I contracted what I think was the flu or a very bad cold. During my days of worst illness, I often found myself unable to sleep because I had such bad chills. This only lasted a couple of days and now I've gotten over my sickness, but I still can't sleep.
How things have been progressing every night for the past five or so days is I'll go to bed tired, pass out normally, and then wake up 2-3 hours later and be completely unable to fall back to sleep. I'm not cold, I'm not stressed, I'm not anxious, I'm not hungry and I'm not too warm. And yet, I toss and turn for most of the night, attempting to get to sleep.
Previously, I may have had one restless night like this a month on average. Why all of a sudden am I unable to sleep every single night? This is beginning to interfere with my schooling and I'm focusing more on staying awake than I am on my work.
Do I have insomnia or some other kind of sleep disorder? And why did it happen only after my sickness passed?
