Is this a sleep disorder?

Please explain why I sleep like this, i think it must be abnormal, but HOW abnormal?
I sleep terrible for about 10 days in a row, (wake up like every 20-30 minutes or so) , uncomfortable, and wake up feeling like I never slept (no REM).

Then I sleep like a baby for next 10 days or so. I have slept in this type of cycle for so long (im in thirties now) that I never really questioned it, well until now obviously.

Is this weird or do alot of people sleep like this? I would like to sleep nicely every day you know?? instead of couple weeks good couple weeks bad.
??

Re: Is this a sleep disorder?

Welcome to the boards!

Although I usually say only a sleep study can confirm a sleep disorder, I will stick my neck out on a limb here and say "It sounds like a sleep disorder to me!""

Although, it's not weird, it is somewhat unusual...if it were me, I'd get a referal to consult with a board certified sleep specialist.

Good luck!!
