Vivid and Fantastic Dreams-Trazadone or other meds?

I have always had very vivid dreams, some of which I remember clearly since childhood. They seem to center around flying, and have very similar themes. They have always been wonderful, and I have loved them...until this!

5 years ago, I had 4 strokes due to malignant hypertension, and have been on a major load of medications, one of which being Trazadone (300mg - 150mg). I have heard of Trazadone dreams, and I wonder that may be causing my dreams to become so much more intense, and often disturbing?

I will wake up from one of these dreams now, and actually get up, walk around the house, turn on the lights, and then lay back down...only to return to the same dream for what seems like hours.

The only way I can break the dream, is to turn on some all night news program and sleep in the living room chair.

I can't disturb my medication regimen, because it has taken years to balance this routine without disrupting my blood pressure-which is first priority.

Coincidentally, I am just having my first hot flashes, and night sweats. Any other dreamers out there with nighttime solutions?
