Sleeping problems caused by Naproxen

I recently had back problems and took Naproxen (Aleve) for pain. I used it over about a two week period. I began to experience problems sleeping. I would start to sleep, then jerk awake as if I couldn't get a breath. This could go on for many hours. It seems to have gotten a little better, I still have the problems getting to sleep, but the panicky feeling is gone. It feels as if my diaphragm won't settle down and that keeps me awake. This happened to me a few years ago after taking Naproxen, but seemed to go away much sooner. Right now, I've been having trouble sleeping for almost three weeks. I had a similar experience several years ago that I attributed to too much caffeine, but I rarely have any caffeine now. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: Sleeping problems caused by Naproxen

Naproxen messes up my sleep also- I take it early in the morning.
