Lightbulb Can You Die From Severe Sleep Apnea?

Can you die from severe sleep apnea alone?

Or is the death usually caused by an underlying condition (such as obesity, heart failure, diabetes, etc.)?

Sleep apnea can be deadly. When the brain fails to send the message to breathe, it can result in heart failure from an arrythmia. If the person cannot get the heart back on beat and medical intervention is not made in time, death is a possibility.

Of course, additional health problems, age and overall fitness can raise the risks of more serious consequences to any medical situation.

The regular use of a cpap machine during sleep, including naps is very important to avoid any danger of apneas becoming lethal.
