Haven't Slept Properly For Years - Don't Know What To Do

I have had this problem for a very long time now. I will not go to bed until incredibly late hours. Usually between 3am to 8am. I wake up around 3pm to 5pm. For a little while now I thought I might have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome, however, a few days ago I got an app on my IPhone which shows sleep patterns. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it shows almost zero deep sleep for me. I'm starting to think I have a mix of problems.

When I wake up in he morning, even if I have slept more than 12 hours, it is incredibly difficult to get myself out of bed.

I want to see a doctor soon. What do you guys think?

Don't try to self-diagnosis your sleep problems because you are unconscious while they're happening. There are over 80 plus sleep disorders in the world. The first step to proper diagnosis is to undergo an overnight sleep study called a polysomnography. Ask your doc to refer you for one.

Been having problems sleeping for a while, tryed sleeping tablets. They work but feel drowsy. Just been on Melatonin 1/2 and 3mg tablet hour before I go to bed. Been working, so good. I tryed higher dose, 2 x 3mg tablets, was in a daze all day. Cut to one 3mg, still drowsy, down to half, sleep good and not drowsy in the day, it seems to be regulating my sleep pattern. thank goodness.
