tamezepan - Sleep Disorders Message Board

Has anyone experienced taking 300mg of Tamezepan (restirol) and waking up feeling achy in upper limbs and thighs--almost hard to walk??? Having been diagnosed with RLS and periodic limb movement disorder, my dr. has put me on this for one month, and then he will evaluate. Jerry

Wow! That is a massive dose of Temazapam! I'd wake up feeling pretty weird if I were on a dose like that too! Most of us here are taking either 15 or 30 milligrams per night, not 300! I would question that dosage for sure as this drug is not something to mess around with. It is a double-locked benzodiazapine. Highly addictive. I know that if I even take close to 30 mg that my heart pounds extra hard and fast and I feel very hot and sweaty. Not a good thing at all. Please be careful. And, let us know what your doctor says.

ooops...too much sleep??? The dosage I am using for tamezepan is 30mg NOT 300....the "achyness" seems to leave me around 10 am.

So glad to know that you are only taking 30mg! Whew~ Okay, so to answer your question about the acheyness.. . I did notice that if I took over my 15mg that my hips would ache terribly all night long. I'd keep flipping from side to side for relief. I went off the Temazapam after having been on it for one year and all of the hip/theigh aches went away. Unfortunately, I'm back to taking a bit of the Temazapam almost every night to get myself off to sleep, but am still taking less than 15 mgs and it has been working okay for me. My hips and theighs have been fine since I've been on this lower dosage. There may, in fact, be some kind of a connection. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else had similar side effects.
