sleep paralysis: a similar exprience
Hello all,
I'm new to this so I guess I'll just jump right in. I am 27yrs old married for the last 5 years and have 2children a son 4, and a daughter 10mon. Well about a year ago, I was taking a nap during the day, My husband and son were also home and in the same room. When I woke up I realized that I couldn't move. It was like my conscience was awake but my body wasn't. I was terrified. I began screaming trying to get Ken (my hubby) to hear me but he couldn't. I tried to move my arms and legs or turn my head but again couldn't. I didn't understand what was going on, I could hear Ken and Walker (my son) playing and the T.V. was on and I could hear it all clearly. This is where it gets a little foggy, I remember waking up but not how, if that makes any sence. It was like I fell back to sleep for a second or two and then woke up as normal. When I did finally wake up fully, I could recall all that was said during this experience, and what was played on the T.V., I asked my husband if he could hear me hollering for him and he said no, (I was a little irritated because I thought, I was screaming with all my might and he couldn't hear me!). I experienced this strange occurrence one other time also while napping during the day with the same results. At the time I was not sure what happened, and am still not really sure if this is sleep Paralysis.
The reason it took me a year to post what happened was, I tried to put it out of my mind (it was a little unsettling, I told my hubby at the time it happened but no one else) until last weekend my mother myself and 3 of my aunts were talking about having similar experiences. I decided I wanted to know what exactly was happening, I know this is amazingly long thank you for listening
