I actually lost weight, but I am an "atypical" case. I have read that any sleep deprivation can cause metaboism to slow and appetite to increase, so when you combine those, it could lead to significant weight gain, esp. if she's too tired to exercise, which I know I am. I can't even handle much housework at a time. My symptoms were dayttime tiredness and nighttime disturbances. I read that your daughter doesn't sleep well, but you weren't specific why. When I went in they were expecting narco. At night I awaken repeatedly and sleep very fitfully. I also have panic attacks which are triggered by apnea episodes. I seem to dream all night because I awaken so freq. during REM sleep. I can also sleep for 10+ hours and still wake up feeling like a Mack truck ran me over. I know this may not help any, but I hope your daughter gets diagnosed soon and can start feeling better. Let us know how she does.
