Hi,
Gravol is also an antihistamine. Interesting, I've heard of quite a few people who use it to aid sleep.
I can't take a whole one, I get restless legs agitated and feeling quite warm-- making sleep impossible.
The half doesn't really work, but if I take it just before bedtime, it will relax me enough to sleep.
joe59102....many people take antihistamines everynight for allergies, I doubt the nyquil would be too much of a problem. If you don't get enough water, though, I could see a problem. You may want to replenish when you wake-up by drinking one or two good glasses before eating, and then throughout your waking hours.
Are you on other medications as well what could interact with antihistamines?
One consideration for you....there is Tylenol and other stuff in it. The other ingredients may be a problem (tylenol to liver). Do you think you could do less than one dose? It may be enough for you to fall asleep but the other ingredients would be less.
Also, you could check what the antihistamine is, and just purchase it separately. The dosage would have to be the same or less, though, it probably would take longer for you to fall asleep because of the absorbtion.
Good sleep to you,
quincy
