Dr. uped the Trazodone to 100mgs a night - Sleep Disorders Message Board

I called my dr. today and she told me to try 100mgs of the Trazodone before going to bed at night. So I am going to try this tonight and I am hoping that it is going to work. She told me that if the 100mgs didn't work after a couple of days to call her back and we would try a different kind of medication, but she didn't specify what kind we would try.

100 mg ?????? i thought you could only take 15mg and 30mg at the most????

NOT true. A few years ago, I was on a 300mg/day dose to help me sleep at night, which is anti-depressant dose. Less than that wouldn't make me tired, just nauseous. The max. recommended dose I believe is about 400mg/day.

Doctors had me on 150 mg per night in 2000, Didn't work that time, I had used it before mid 80's at 50 mg and it worked great. If your at a 100, and it doesn't work, probably not going too. They will probably go to Ambiem, or Restoril, unless there worried about you get addicted

Oh, i was thinking of TEMAZEPAM is what you can only take 15mg and 30 mg.I am taking 15 mg right now and its not helping me much i only get about 3 hours of sleep a night.I dont know how much longer i can take this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
