That's AWESOME Happy -

CONGRATS on joining the smoke free group - welcome
So what is A Carr's book all about or the jist of it - he sounds familiar. He's right - you have to want to quit - but you know - you're ready! It's ok to admit we enjoyed smoking, but now we choose not to smoke. We are saving our lives. Go back and read all of the earlier threads here - they'll help alot.
We have a nice support group here and love adding more to the group

We'll be here for you and just make sure you have a plan for your trigger moments (e.g., if you get mad and normally light up - now what will you do? Pace around or ? I just do what I normally did but without a cancer stick), make a list of all the reasons you feel so strongly about quitting and keep them all over, print off nasty pictures of people that have holes in their throat or are missing toes/fingers from smoking circulatory diseases, etc... If your own might doesn't help - the nasty pictures will or the scare of cancer or emphysema. Nothing nice and very painful from what I've read.
You can also read the lung cancer boards here and they'll scare you into keeping your quit. LOL
You've made the right decision and now you begin your new life and you'll smell SOOOOOO good - vanity reasons are enough to stay quit.
