I am gearing up to quit for good on 01/01/05. It's going to be hard but I am determined to succeed.

If anyone wants to join me so that we can root on and help each other through difficult times I would love to hear from you.

Hi Kimianne--

Just want to say please don't get discouraged. I think the board is slow right now, due to the holidays. As soon as the New Year rolls in, there will be a lot of new people posting, and I'm sure someone will want to buddy up and quit with you! And congratulations on deciding to quit too, such a smart thing to do for yourself!

Happy holidays. Kimianne, Good Luck with ur quiting smokeing I have tryed and truely want to succed next time i try which i wanna do so now but as poor excuses go, i just CANT i have tryed before went 10 days, i have been smokeing since i was 12 and i am now gonna be 38 in jan. I have asthma, emphysema, COPD and to top it all off I have HCV ( hepititus C virus) i know I have to stop its just so hard especially when there is alot of stress in ones life ( again i know poor excuse)I dont know just yet if i will try as of jan 1st but forsure i can be here for support for you. so let me know if and what i can do to help ya and maybe what ever it is u do maybe it could work for me someday, somethings gotta work for me someday, and lord knows what i have done in past hasnt worked for me as of yet.so u can consider me as ur pa quiting buddy .. hope to hear back from ya soon and keep me informed on ur progress..

Hey my friend,

I will be your quit buddy. Like you I am waiting til the first of the year. I know it is wrong but I am giving myself a final week to smoke. I do truly want to quit for good though. I have alot of teeth and gum issues so my perio says time to quit. Plus it is stupid of me to be playing with my health this way. So if you would like to I would love to be your quit pal. I will keep in touch with you AOK.

davesgurl and CK39C - We can do it! I am scared and am wondering EXACTLY how I am going to manage it. But it NEEDS to be done. So come on buddies let's get it done.
