Congratulations Barrie...30 days is a milestone, when someone has smoked for a long time! That's wonderful news. I know you still would like one...I did too at the 1 month stage...pretty bad, to be truthful with you! BUT, wait till 6 months down the road, you will be thinking of them less and less, you really will. I'm now at 22 months, and I RARELY think of wanting one. If I do, it's for a second. I hate the thought of me smoking now. Hey, last night my hubby and I went to an Indian casino, and it was smokey in there. I tried NOT to get close to any of em, but it was really bothering me...smelled awful, and I thought, hey, I don't want to be breathing this $hit, that's why I QUIT SMOKING in the FIRST PLACE!!! DUH!

Was glad to leave there, and it was great getting outside to the fresh air! You will feel the same way soon! I guarantee you!

I'm glad you're not concerned about the little weight gain. It is no big deal!! I did gain about 13 lbs total, and now I've lost about 8 lbs. Feeling good, and having good health is more important than a few lbs anyway.
Oh, BTW...I received an email from my girlfriend down the street this morning. Her hubby, a 2 pack a day smoker, was diagnosed with throat cancer last month. He just turned 50, and a very active guy...bowls a lot, boating every weekend, etc. She said he was in the hospital for 2 weeks! They removed his upper portion of his voice box, and he has a traech, (sp?), and a feeding tube, and has lost 30 lbs! He still has to under go radiation. Devastating! I feel so badly for him. Made me glad that me and my dh quit! And don't EVER want to go back!

Keep up the good work, Barrie, you're doing great, and you have a great attitude too!
