CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR QUITTING SMOKING! THAT'S GREAT!
I'm trying to do all the right things now too, 23 months after quitting my 30+ year smoking habit. You're on the right track with the anti-oxidants, that's what I'm doing too. I take vitamin E, CoQ-10, vita C, garlic, zinc, Selenium, among a few others. Oh, and I drink a cup or two of Green Tea every day, which is high in antioxidants. EAT LOTS OF FRESH FRUITS AND VEGGIES, I try to get 6 or more servings a day. (1/2 cup is a serving)
Walking/jogging, lots of exercise is good for your lungs too. Draw in all those deep breaths. Of course if you live in a smoggy area, which so many of us do these days, well...don't know what to tell you. Get a treadmill...I love mine.
