hypnosis or laser therapy? - Smoking Cessation Message Board

Hi,

Yesterday was 3 weeks as a non-smoker, but I've realized that I am still very psychologically addicted to cigarettes. I am doing the nicotine patch, but I thought I might also try laser therapy or hypnosis in addition to really cover my bases.

Has anyone had success with either hypnosis or laser therapy? Have they worked/not worked for you?

I went to a hypnotist for anxiety and it worked pretty well. I made sure I went to a well known therapist in my town. I didn't go to some spa clinic hypnotist, if ya know what I mean.

I want to go back to him for smoking, I just haven't worked up to the I am am ready to quit now.

just do it cold turkey and get the rest of the nicotine outta your system it's almost a month for me and I did it cold turkey the first days I felt like S#$$&****!! but once that was done I was fine. I've smoked for 25ish years you can do it just want it bad enough you don't need either of those therapies your strong you can do it.

I'm with Liamsmom NRT's just prolong the agony in my opionion I did go to a hypnotist it helped stave off the phychological war until after the physical withdrawel was over 72hrs at most it worked great not always easy in the beginning but very doable ....

Hypnosis CD's really helped me when I quit. 5 1/2 weeks smoke free and counting!
