I have been quit for over a year. Trust me, I didn't even think I could quit smoking. I smoked at least 2 packs a day. It takes about 3 months to feel normal. By normal, I mean, the mood swings subside and you don't think about smoking 24/7. I used the patch and Zyban both to quit. Though I didn't stay on either past 2 weeks. I would find stories that touched me online and I printed them out and carried them everywhere with me. Anytime I felt I needed a cigarette, I read my printouts. I honestly just got mad at the tobacco companies. Lets see, your paying $5.00 a pack to ruin your lungs, ruin other people's lungs around you, make you smell, give you bad breath, yellow your teeth and fingers, burn holes in your clothes, carpet, furniture and even your own skin, ruin your home....wallls and such if you smoke inside, if you do smoke inside, you are ruining your pets health as well. YOUR PAYING TO DO THIS?? I got angry, that's what helped me the most.
