I just went a bought a pack of smokes - opened them up and even put one to the lips but haven't lit it yet....geez I'm miserable. The nicotine is already out of my system so this is purely mental. I don't know what to do. My heart rate has dropped to 60 bpm from over 80 while smoking. I feel better, smell better, and even look better, but there's still this amazingly strong desire to smoke. This crap should be illegal - I know I would not be so tempted if I couldn't just walk into the store and buy it any time and any where.

Susan did you light up???????????????I for one am hoping you didn't I was rooting for you all the way. I did fail and will try again for MAJOR STRESS took my brain away. Let us know girl. Jules

Susan I hope you didn't do it but if you did where else will you find people who totally understand and will not judge you. Perhaps your desire isn't at the point where you are ready if so it just won't work don't be so hard on yourself you're trying to give up an addiction that's been in your life for 20+ yrs it's like giving up any other drug. As long as you pick yourself up dust yourself off and try again

Hey - well I still haven't done it yet...It feels like a huge accomplishment. I did the best thing I could've done - left town and went to my folks house where I went shopping, watched a movie and just plain relaxed. It was great. By no means am I out of the woods, but I'm just proud as I can be that I've made it exactly one whole week... I just knew I would cave in. There is a huge part of me that is so proud and happy to be smoke free, but I definitely still want to smoke.
