| Re: Withdrawl Symptoms??
Hi Jeff,
Congratulations on quitting nicotine!!! Nine days is quite an accomplishment and you should be pretty proud of yourself!!!
I did not chew tobacco, rather I smoked it for over 30 years. So I am not sure if I can provide much help. However the conditions you described sounded like nicotine withdrawal symptoms. They are as follows:
Nicotine withdrawal symptoms:
Irritability, Mood Swings, Restlessness, Insomnia, Fatigue
Inability to Concentrate, Sore Throat, Cough, Congestion, Headache,
Increased Appetite, Constipation, Gas, Stomach Pain, Dry Mouth,
Sore Tongue/Gums , Postnasal Drip, Tightness in the Chest.
I think you will find these conditions will improve over time the longer you stay away from nicotine completely. I recommend you check with your doctor to see if he / she can provide advise. Your doctor may even proscribe something mild to help you to sleep at night.
Sure hope things improve for you. Best of luck!!!
