How are people rewarding themselves? Are you putting money aside to treat yourself to something special?

After one month, my husband took me out to a steak dinner. After 3 months, we went out and had a delicious Mexican dinner. At six months, I went out and bought me 4 new tops and 3 pair of slacks. My doctor suggested that I put the money in a jar each day that I would have spent on cigarettes and when I got enough to go on a cruise. He said he had a patient that took two cruises a year doing that!! Well...'cuse my English....ain't no way I would ever get my husband to agree to a cruise or to fly on a plane!! So guess I'll have to be content to go shopping!! Yeehaw!

I've been rewarding myself with sweet treats. Not sure whether that's a good thing. Before I quit smoking, I hardley ate treats. I never craved it. Now, I'm craving it like crazy. I do treat myself out to lunch a little more. I figure from the money I'm saving from not smoking, it can go to more lunches or dinners out.

I'm really curious, too, what others use as rewards...

On my 9 month quit anniversary I bought myself a new Coach purse.

- I think I'm going to plan a cruise to Alaska for next June. Although, I think I promised my husband that if he quit for a year, he could buy any boat he wants to, so I might be in trouble here....
