Mango: I feel for you. On Day 6 of my quit, I got my period. Talk about a double whammy! BUt I made it through. I had a really really bad day this past Wed. It's weird but in the past few months, my PMS seems to be POSt and not PRE (ah, the joys of aging). Anyway, on Wed., it wasn't that I wanted a cig. but I felt that irritability (in a major way) ALL damned day. My BF and I got in an argument that night which I thought was all him but upon waking yesterday I realized it was me. I was really completely irrational. Yesterday was a good day though and today feels like it'll be a so so day.
One of my biggest inspirations though is that even when my BF and I argued I still didn't 'want' a cig. I mean the thought of 'smoking' passed my mind as everyone knows it's what you do immediately when you feel stressed. But in that same thought, I realized I didn't want one and that felt good, really good.
Anyway, I hope you're BF's daughter doesn't cause you to stress too much. Just remember you can do it and you know the best part, if she does stress you out and you don't smoke, once she's gone and you're facing another 'hard' time, you'll reflect back on her visit and be able to tell yourself, I survived that, I can survive this. Every little milestone is huge for us and we have to keep reminding ourselves of them (at least I do).
Anyway, best of luck to you!
I'm free! One week, four days, 10 hours, 36 minutes and 38 seconds. 343 cigarettes not smoked, saving $90.10. Life saved: 1 day, 4 hours, 35 minutes.
