I started smoking when I was 13 years old. I just turned 23 in Feb. so I smoked for almost ten years. I had been wanting to quit smoking for a couple years before I actually did. My boyfriend still smokes and while he supports me - nobody else outside my two best friends do. In quiting, a saw some people in a whole new light. Quiting is a huge deal - it effects more than your lungs. I have been eating better and taking better care of myself and it all started because I quit smoking.

Congrats, wailana! I'm so proud of you. I'll try and reply to some posts. Though I think other posters around here have it going on. Everyone is so nice and supportive.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes when I see a cigarette, I remember how much I loved the taste of them but it passes just as quickly as the thought emerged. I think that I'll always remember that. It doesn't make you weak or mean you're going to start smoking again. However, when I smell them it makes me dizzy. I hate the smell of them. I hugged a friend of mine the other day and she ranked. I can't believe I use to smell like that and I didn't even know it! My nose is like uber powered now. lol.
