Until my quit in August, I was never able to go even ONE day without a cigarette in 40 years!! So each day without a cigarette for me is like a miricle!!

179 weeks, [3 years, 5 months] 6 days, 9 hours, 31 minutes, 59 seconds.

Cigs not smoked: 25,187
Money saved: $5,352.24

Inspired to quit after reading posts, [daily] on this board for 3 months. Quit with the patch, and later switched to nic gum. Never have I been so proud of anything I've ever done before....this is the ultimate high! (A natural high....)

Congratulations, Mangojunky, and to all the new quitters on this board! Keep it up you guys! It's so cool to see so many new people on this board who are actually quitting! I think from people seeing so much success as a result of people using this new Chantix, there's going to be a huge surge of people quitting in the next few years. I've kept saying [for a long time now], that "someday they'll come out with a new drug that really works well", and I think this may be da' drug! Stick to it everyone,...it only gets better and better.

Re: How long has it been?

Deda, That is wonderful! I have quit using the patch before, and re-started. It also wreaked havoc on my body. This chantix has it's side effects, but it has been wonderful so far.....
don't be a stranger!
