I have been smoke free for 5 days now. I have noticed that I don't like coke as much as I used to, or any soft drink for that matter. I was as big time caffine drinker, 3 to sometimes 5 soft drinks a day. I have been drinking lots of water since taking the Chantix, mostly for the naseau, but have noticed that the soft drinks just aren't the same. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't speak on behalf of the coffee drinkers. I am happy about the caffine issue, I figure that's about 400-500 calories a day I'm not consuming (well from the caffine anyways) I am making up those 400-500 calories in chocolate now, LOL
freeforme,
Chantix does mess your taste sometimes. I couldn't drink water unless it had lemon in it. And I LOVED water!!
You do know that chocolate has caffeine in it, don't you? So you've just traded how you get your caffeine.
CONGRATULATIONS on being smoke free for 5 days!!! Way To Go!!
Acutally trying not to eat to much chocholate. I don't want to start gaining to much weight. I have a pretty small build, 5'6" about 125 and I don't want to start gaining weight since I'm not smoking. I am on day 6 now YEAH. This morning has been really easy. I had to be at work at 6A, YAWN, but I think today will be a good day for me
I have always been a Dr. Pepper lover and have noticed as well that I haven't had nearly as many each day. The other night I found myself having water with my dinner which is never the case for me. Oh well I wanted to cut back anyway so nows my chance. I'm trying to drink more fruit juices now days and with dinner and lunch I usually will have iced tea.
