...or do others have problems getting these pages to load most of the time?? I am running high speed cable modem here and when I try and get on this board its like the old 56k days. Just checking. Oh and while I'm here I want to congratulate everyone that has quit thus far and I'm on day 17!!!

NO - It is NOT just you. I am on a T1 circuit and response time lately has been crazy slow.
Yes...still hooked on the resses peanut butter eggs...lol... bought a few nestle bars too but anyhting is better than smoking!! I haven't noticed too much weight gain yet (maybe a few pounds) but I've been the gym almost every day. Take care
This site is often very slow. I'll usually hit the red X in my toolbar and try again, sometimes that helps. I go to another message board that uses the same software as this and that board has more threads and topics and it's lightning fast, but I do pay $20 a year for it so they can afford faster computers. This other board doesn't have advertisments since it's a pay system, the ads loading is probably what slows this board down.
Sometimes slow is good so I can go get a soda or go pee.

Agree with you on the page speed here.
I think it is all about the major use of the server this runs on being choked with people sometimes. Does anyone know if ALL the "Healthboards" boards run off the same server? If so, it's gotta be a busy rascal!

I think they do run off of the same server, I visit a few other boards and they are the same way. If anyone wants to complain click on the blue and orange powered by Kosmix just above new posts. On the left side of the page, there are some boxes to click on, don't remember which one it was and it has telephone and fax #'s, but at bottom of screen is another contact us that will take you to an e-mail box. I have already called them and left a message, the e-mail won't work for me because dh hasn't changed outlook from adelphia to comcast. Good luck. Usta

It's kind of hard for me to complain when something is free.
I've been on different places that kind of outgrew their hardware or software while we watched, and the complaints were pretty similar.
At present, I have about 4 tabbed windows open through my browser, and I flip through them when waiting for a screen refresh longer than I feel like it.
Poor Memaw on dial-up has to wonder if her phone line died when it gets slow!
If slow screens are all I had to beef about, wouldn't the world be a wonderful place!
I'm just glad this place is here, even if it is as if we are all waving at each other from a distance!
