Hi TrueBrit: Have a question which could not possibly be any more off topic I'm curious how you and your countrymen/women feel about the Prince and Kate breaking up. To bring my question back to topic: is it gonna make people wanna smoke?
Wow Trish, I was going to try to weave this question into a thread some how too! Thanks for asking! Too bad the relationship is over, I was up for seeing another royal wedding (Charles and Camilla's didn't count). BTW, I was still smoking when they got married.
Traveller: You must be a city person. Burr: a rough or *****ly envelope of a fruit b : a plant that bears burs. Around here, we say to an irritable person, "Hey...what's wrong....got a burr up your butt?" But.....we don't smoke when we say it......we just run like hell!
Oh yea, I remember them as kids.... playing in the woods and getting those sticky things (round little balls with pointy things on em???) on our socks? Is that what a burr is?
When I was a kid, I didn't smoke... but I do remember riding bikes with my friend after she had stolen a cig from her mother.... we smoked it and then probably ate a pack of pepperment life savers each to get rid of the smell... and both my parents smoked.
"sticky things (round little balls with pointy things on em???) on our socks? Is that what a burr is?" Yeppers....that is precisely what a burr is....and they're uncomfortable as all get out. I'm trying to think of a way to get smoking -- rather not smoking -- into this post, but I'm at a loss.
So...I'll say this: I'm not smoking and I'm lovin' it
Welcome kat68 and congratulations on quitting smoking!!
You may want to copy and paste your reply above into your own brand new thread... see where it says "New Thread"? when you are looking at all the thread topics? You'll get a lot more replies that way. Not that we don't want to talk to you on this thread, but this one is a kind of joke thread.
I'm posting so this will get bumped up so maybe True Brit will see it.
Ya'll are so funny. We need a thread like this to keep us sane!
If you've ever picked cuckle burrs off of yourself or a dog you'll never forget what they are! Or begger's lice either! (They stick to you like cuckle burr's do but they are flat and not as pointy-sticky.)
Do you think that she hasn't heard about the break up? She has been spending time in France lately. She wouldn't just ignore ya'll, would she?
I have been Smober for
Eight months, two days, 22 minutes and 53 seconds. 4900 cigarettes not smoked, saving $771.80. Life saved: 2 weeks, 3 days, 20 minutes. My quit date: August 14, 2006
I hope you find your quit experience on Chantix as satisfyingly an upgrade to wellbutrin that i did!
If your 'one of the lucky ones' you might have some 'doozy' dreams.
I know I get some weird ones, and some abnormally mundane ones. But I kind of look at it as adventures my normal life wouldn't provide.
And ya gotta wake up eventually.
Hoping you don't mind my bit of humor, but seriously want to welcome you.
We've all had some effects of one flavor or another, and you never know who is going to have your next answer. (or ask the next question you have an answer for!)

It started with waking up from an awful dream of me drowning in a frozen swamp (yuk, ick and oh my gosh), once I was up all I wanted to do was cry. I felt so sad and couldn't figure out why. I would drift off into some other world, couldn't focus, and all I could think about was going back to bed locking the door and covering my head with the blanket. Once I realized it was time to take my chantix is when I realized "IT" must be the reason I am feeling like this so I started googling for info and found you all. After reading what everyone else has experienced I gotta say I'm fitting right in.
I am however very excited about quitting and eventually feeling much better. I would like to thank all of you for the time you spend on here talking about your personal experiences it really DOES help.
