mouth

i stopped smoking 2 weeks ago i am using the inhaler and patches i woke up during the night with blood coming from somewhere in my mouth it has stopped but i wondered if its possible to have a nose bleed that goes down the throat instead of out you nose

If you're laying down I suppose that could happen. Other people have posted unusual or unexpected withdrawal side effects I think bleeding gums was one of them. I myself had my feet peel. It was pretty gross and strange but it stopped after a weekish if it worries you go to your Dr.

Yeah if you are laying on your back with your head slightly elevated the blood will run down your throat and can go in your mouth too. I didn't smoke I dipped but when I quit I had some weird side effects. I guess different people will have different side effects when quitting. Good luck to you.

Yeah, it is possible in deed. It used to happen to me in the summer time when I was a kid- (nasal paasages got dry from the weather). If your lean your head back, the blood flows into your mouth. That's why I have never understood why they tell you to put your head back when your nose is bleeding. Gross.

thank you all for replying i wasnt sure if it could have been a nosebleed because there didnt seem to be any blood in my nose
