recently started smoking

i recently started smoking maybe 3 months ago but i'm not addicted. i just smoke socially at parties and stuff. combined ive probably smoked no more than 2 packs of cigarettes/cigarillos/cigars/capris/djarums but ive noticed that i'm not breathing as well and i have to take deeper breathes to feel satisfied and i cant even run up my stairs without panting. is it normal for smoking sideffects to kick in so soon?

Re: recently started smoking

When ever you put toxins in your lungs it will slow ya down.Everyone reacts differently to nicitine, being cigs or cigars.A combined total of 2 packs or not.

If you are having difficulties breathing and notice it when climbing stairs and so on,don't do it.

Don't become an addict, don't become dependent on needing or having the urge to smoke.

Just stop, save yourself the lung damage and preserve your health.

Re: recently started smoking

Hi, Do yourself a big favor and STOP NOW. It is not worth it. I think all of us here would vouch for that. You will have to stop eventually so sooner than later I say.

Good Luck

Jean

Re: recently started smoking

Definitely stop now. My younger sister is 31 and wheezes and becomes out of breath after minimal exertion. It's due to smoking. She has serious pulmonary issues and who knows if she can get her full lung function back.
Anyway, my point is that everyone reacts differently to cigarettes. Some might live to 100 and never have a health complication and some might develop emphysema before they hit 40. you just never know but it sounds like your body doesn't like cigarettes and you'd be wise to stop now before you really get started. I'm with jeanusa, it's not worth it.

Re: recently started smoking

Yeah, everyone is right. These cigarettes grab a hold of you and won't let go. Don't let them get that grip on you. It is a really easy thing to slip into and do, but a hard thing to stop. But I think you already know that. I wish you the best!
