| Stop smoking support and tips..
I know there will be some people who don't agree with me waiting to finish this last pack to quit but thats what I am doing. So after today I will not be buying anymore packs.
I quit for 2 months a year and a half ago. I did really well but I had a slip and my SO told me how disappointed he was that I had a slip. So that started a change reaction to me smoking full on again. But this time I feel like I can really do this if I have the proper support. I mean I recently lost just over 30lbs. I also quit caffeine in June and have not had caffeine since then. I have been somewhat tempted but said no. And the withdraw from caffeine was terrible. Headaches for 2 weeks soild before I got it all out of my system and I feel much better now without it.
So if I can do that I can quit smoking. I don't plan to buy any patches or anything like that just cutting it out and deal with the withdrawl from it. My plan is something like this. If I am even remotely craving a smoke I will go for a walk, do an exercise tape, spotlessly clean a room, do something anything other than smoke a cigarette. Plus chew sugarfree gum and get some small sucker and straws to help with the hand/mouth fixation. I will also keep a journal on my feelings going through this. I am gonna try and find a place online to put my thoughts so I can get support. I guess I could do that here.
One more thing I plan to do that helped me lose weight was rewards. Like after this pack it will be 9 days till payday. So if I don't have a smoke I will reward myself with something the money I would have used on smokes. Like a new pair of jeans or shoes or something. Just some reward to help me get this done.
So after reading this does anyone have any other tips for me that I may have missed. Thanks.
