Catarrh - Smoking Cessation Message Board

Hi All

I have been quit smoking for 1 month 2 weeks & 4 days, but I am still having problems with alot of catarrh at the back of the throat :-( I thought when I was smoking that this was the cause but it's still going on after giving up

Could there be something else going on or does it take along time to get rid of this issue after quitting?

Can I also state that I don't have bad breath with it (well I don't get complaints.....lol) but I do get a vile taste in my mouth.

Your thoughts appreciated

Hi Evonne,
You're doing great - almost 2 months now, WOW!!!!!!!! I am 5 months smoke free . Yes, it did take me a while for my lungs to clear up and I did cough alot for the first couple of months. But it was a clensing cough instead of a smokers cough, if you know what I mean. Hang in their kiddo - every day will now get easier...
