i really feel good about being quit for one wk. not even a drag off hubbies....i was smoking between 1-3 of his daily for quite awhile, now i am glad to know i can have the willpower to quit these cancer sticks! when i get a crave now, i just talk myself out of it....i found talking to myself about how bad they are, took a few slow breaths, and got over the crave.
looking to hear from all of you that have quit. it would be interesting for us all to report on how we get thru those craves....take care.........bevann
Oh Bevann!! I had to sign in to reply to your post.
CONGRATULATIONS on one week!!!!! That is great. The nicodemon is out of your system. The slow breaths helped me a lot. Also, a lot of water drinking. I used those dum dum suckers, chewed on straws. Don't get sad, get mad! Cigarettes are cancer sticks and you will no longer be a slave to them!!!
Congratulations again and keep it up!
bevann26 way to go and keep up the fight. I'm just shy of making it 6 months now. Remembering how terrible those first few days were and how I'de have to go thru that again keeps me from giving any serious thought to lighting up. That first week was one of the best and worse weeks of my life and I don't ever want to repeat it. Good Luck. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!
yay! tomorrow is my two week mark, not a single puff. Cant say i havent wanted one though lol. i traded cancer sticks for cavity sticks and pretty soon i will have the strongest jaw muscels in the world with as much gum as i have been chewing lol. Good job everyone!!!! keep it up we can all make it thru this.
thanks to all of you for being so supportive. everyone on this board is wonderful and so helpful with quitting ideas and craving that cig.
i have now been telling myself that every day w/out smoking is one more day of breathing better. i don't think i could handle carrying oxygen around.
my friends brother just got put on oxygen and he goes off it to smoke. that is really sad, but he gave me even more incentive to stay quit.
hope you all have the will power it takes to stop...healthy breathing is the best! bevann
