As of april 1st I will be smoke free for 20 months. For those of you who are in the first few weeks or months of this process, keep it up! It is worth it. And don't worry about the method you are using. I found I was ready to stop when I looked for reasons to quit instead of reasons to smoke. I still get an occasional fleeting urge but it passes just as quickly as it comes. Sometimes I can hardly believe I have come this far. Godbless
Congrats to both of you that is terrific, I am at for the 3rd time quitting at 2 weeks and I feel great. I have help with Chantix the wonder drug and boy does it work. Once in a while i get an urge but it does pass as quick as it comes.
I am 46 and started to change my lifestyle which I believe is the key to staying quit. Changing routines is the way. I am working out everyday and now have more energy than I have before. It feels really good. I will make it to where you both are and beyond. again both of you are an inspriation that it can be done.
Congrats to all of you on your sucess! I am almost 13 months here and am so over tobacco! I still can't beleive I smoked for as long as I did! I am even starting to lose the weight I put on and I feel great. Please keep up the great quits as they are worth it!!!
marian, congrats to you!! i will be so happy when i can say i've quit for 20 mos., and i know it will happen this time, because i was really ready in my mind to quit!

everyone keep on going, you are all doing great!....bevann
Bevann--congrats on the 4 weeks. I know that you have been trying to stop for awhile now. I tried several times before it took. Our son was living with us at the time and he smokes.
Liamsmom--I think I'll keep my chocolate addiction for now. It helps to keep me sane.
