Hi all! Today is 5 months without a cigarette and although that may seem a pretty good track record without a relapse, I am still having issues. I started a couple of meds earlier this year to help with sleep and mood issues and I must admit they have taken away a lot of the cravings for a cigarette. Recently I suffered a setback nervewise and while having my mini breakdown(really!) I was craving cigarettes so badly that I could taste them. Now that I'm feeling somewhat better, this is on my mind all the time and it is driving me insane. I have asked God to take the craving from me and He seems to answer my prayers or at least gives me what I need for the moment, but this is scary. The mental obseesion is more than I can bear at times and I don't know what else to do other than go in and lie down for a while. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Hopeto.. it's like any other drug you'll always have cravings for it but you have to have the strength to say it won't beat you'll beat it back with a stick if you have to. That goes for all the battles we fight every day.

I'm sorry to hear your having such a hard time lately and I hope things will turn around soon just keep up the good work not smoking and focus on what strength it's taken to stay quit for five months and maybe you can use some of that umph to address the other issues at hand.

Hi L-Mom! It is so nice to hear from you. I have just been a mess lately and have been in the depths of despair and just not feeling well at all. I am so glad that you have given me reinforcement because it has taken every ounce of my being lately to fight this stuff off. I have been on two different meds in the past few months that have helped with the cravings but when the routine of them was upset, out came the depression, cravings, anger, and horror. I will speak to my doctor in about a week and a half about this stuff. God bless you and thanks again--Hopeto
